A Journey Towards Better

Travel Photography

Travel photography allows you to explore a variety of photographic disciplines, including portraits, landscapes, wildlife, architecture, still life, and event photography. Travel photography involves the documentation of an area’s natural surroundings, people, culture, history, etc. Photography is a splendid tool for recording memories and expressing impressions of a situation or a place, and an interest in photography will allow you to appreciate more details along your journey.

For me, travelling is about seeing places and understanding cultures. This inspires me to maintain a creative and positive approach to life. I have enjoyed meeting the people and seeing the wildlife of Tanzania, observing the coexistence of old and new cultures in Japan, experiencing the openness of the Australians, roaming the historic cities of Europe, seeing the diversity of the U.S.A., and getting lost on the great plains of Chile.

The photographs in this book were taken between December 2004 and October 2009 during travels around the continents. It is a personal photo project, which follows my trail and depicts my journey towards better travel photography. With this book and companion website, I want to share my pictures and the experience that I have accumulated over the years.

Thank you for your interest, and good luck with your own journey towards better travel photography.
